Diff Lock

There are a multitude of different diffs available for your Land Rover – read about the different types of locking diffs

  • A unique non-rotating annular piston locking actuator is designed to eliminate air leaks sometimes found with rotating seals.
  • The annular piston is also designed to eliminate the oil blow back in the air exhaust line.
  • The large piston area give maximum hold-in force to reduce the possibility of jumping out of lock.
  • Locking ring gives full 6mm positive engagement with side gear, again reducing the possibility of jumping out of lock.
  • Gears have been redesigned for maximum strength and durability.
  • Locking actuator cage made from steel to withstand shock loading caused by power locking.
  • Locker body turned from billet 817M40T (EN24T) to give optimum strength.
  • Only change necessary to fit the locker is drill and tap the diff housing 1/4” bsp for the air feed fitting.
  • No changes to the axle case.
  • Requires on board air supply – not supplied. (CKMA12 – ARB compressor assembly 12 volt)
